Filmmaker Jim Lujan at the 2013 Latino Comics Expo San Francisco

Another artist making his first appearance at the Latino Comics Expo is Jim Lujan, whose animated films will be screening at the Cartoon Art Museum this June 1 & 2.




Jim Lujan, a prolific filmmaker whose chosen medium is animation, writes/animates/directs/scores and even voices his own productions. Earlier this year he was awarded the Plympton Award for Indie Animation by maverick animation legend Bill Plympton.



Jim will be screening a block of his moviesduring the Expo on Saturday at 1pm, and on Sunday he'll be participating in a group animation screening with several other Expo attendees including Crystal Gonzalez, Isis Rodriguez, Jose Cabrera and John Jota Leanos.


Jim will have copies of his DVDs and prints of his artwork available for purchase at the Expo as well.

Visit him at the Latino Comics Expo San Francisco, being held once again at the Cartoon Art Museum at 655 Mission St. San Francisco, CA 94105. The Expo runs from 11am-5pm on Saturday & Sunday, June 1 & 2.    

Attendance is included with paid admission to the Museum: 

$7 – Adults (The Cartoon Art Museum is now offering a special 'Dos Dias' 2-day ticket for $10)
$5 – Students & Seniors 
$3 – Children (ages 6 – 12) 
FREE to children age 5 & under.
