LA County Supervisor Don Knabe will be awarding the Latino Comics Expo a scroll in honor of recognition for the upcoming Expo. The Expo is having it's inaugural Los Angeles event at the Museum of Latin American Art this weekend, August 17& 18.
Accepting on behalf of the Expo will be Co-founder/Creative Director Javier Hernandez. He'll be joined by LCX exhibiting artists Jules Rivera (Misfortune High) and Lestat (a masked luchador who is also creating his own comics). Also attending the ceremony will be Stuart A. Ashman, the President and CEO of the Museum of Latin American Art.
The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, August 13, at the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room. The event begins at 9:30 am.
